THE WEST ORANGE COUNCIL OF PTAs is an organization that brings all West Orange PTA units together to correlate their work, furnish leadership and provide joint action and support in our common goal of excellence in education for all of our children.

Its membership includes an Executive Board and representatives from each of the eleven schools within the West Orange School District (see listing at left). All work of this organization is done in accord with the objectives and policies of the County, State and National Parent Teacher Associations. View Objectives.

The West Orange Council of PTAs meets regularly to discuss issues of common interest, sponsors a Candidates Night in the spring for Board of Education candidates, and supports the West Orange Scholarship Fund through fundraisers and the sale of tribute cards.

THE WO-ZONE is the email publication of the West Orange Council of PTAs which summarizes key events at all of the schools, Council of PTAs and Board of Education information and a wide-array of youth oriented community activities.  This email is "one-stop-shopping" for all school information! WEST ORANGE COUNCIL OF PTAs ONLINE BACKPACK – The West Orange Council of PTAs has established an online "backpack". Here you will find, in one convenient location, order and sign-up forms for Council of PTAs, school PTA and community youth-oriented events and activities. If you would like to have a document made available in the backpack, please send an electronic version (Word or PFD file, etc.) as an email attachment to: Marita Lythgoe.

CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES – Visit the West Orange Board of Education Calendar of Activities to find District-wide and school-specific events.
